Cork
Cutting
Cork cuts easily up to 1/4" thick with low power. Charring on the edges will result, however it may be minimized with proper power and assist air. Thicker than 1/4" may result in poor edge quality. This could be due to the grain size as the thickness increases.
Engraving
Engraving cork is very rewarding with a dark consistent mark. Depth and color can be controlled by adjusting focus, power, and speed. Experimentation on a scrap section is necessary since cork is a natural product and may vary widely from one piece to another.
Scoring
Scoring and vector engraving cork can be tricky since it's so easy to cut all the way through. Experimentation is necessary. Vector engraving is especially useful if simply marking points with a crosshair or trying to quickly mark non-cosmetic text.
