Cutting

Laserable Cap & Core plastic is made from acrylic and therefore cuts very nicely. Complex profiles including internal features are cut simply with a laser to match your needs.

Cap & core comes in either 2 or 3 ply with a wide range of color and finish combinations. Engraving the top layer of a 2 ply exposes the core color for high contrast signage. When using a 3 ply cap & core plastic, power settings are adjusted to achieve engraves of varying depths. This determines which of the two core colors will be seen.

Scoring

Scoring and vector engraving can be done on on cap & core. This is good when you want to have a sheet of engraved tags to break apart as needed. They would be held together by a thin piece of material rather than cut al the way through.
